Give Yourself a Little Grace, You Absolutely Deserve It Momma
Updated: May 11

I wanna share something that I think is important for all women to hear,
Especially anyone who is on that journey to get their life and their home organized while still trying to maintain all the other responsibilities that they have.
This lesson that I am so passionate about is learning how to give yourself a little grace. I know that I've benefited greatly since implementing it in my life, which is why I'm talking about it with you now.
Let me tell you why you should be giving yourself the same grace that you give to others, and I'm going to help you discover how giving yourself grace can have a positive impact on your journey to getting organized.
Have you noticed that as women, most of us tend to be super critical of our shortcomings and expect way more of ourselves than we do of others?

I can remember back when I was a new mom, I would beat myself up anytime I had an unproductive day. Even on the days that I was feeling completely overwhelmed and exhausted, I would feel guilty about all of my shortcomings.
It wasn't until much later that I came to realize that this torture that I was inflicting on myself was actually making matters worse, and most of the time it prolonged the procrastination.
Once I came to this realization, I decided that I was gonna give myself the same grace that I afford to everyone else. On days that I'm struggling, I allow myself to sit in waiting, and I no longer take it personally with my body and mine are asking me to take a break.
I acknowledge the signs and take the time to rest. When I do this, I find that the feelings of overwhelm and the big emotions pass much more quickly.

Back when I would try to push through and ignore the warning signs, it would sometimes take me weeks to bounce back.
So if you find yourself procrastinating or having an unproductive day, give yourself some grace and realize that this is your body's way of telling you that you're in need of a pause.
